Hoof Care Workshops

Learn the skills to keep your horse sound, happy, and healthy — from the ground up.

Healthy hooves are the foundation of a healthy horse.

At Tranquil Island, we believe every horse owner should feel confident in understanding and maintaining their horse’s hoof health.

Through our barefoot trimming courses, you’ll learn the essentials of hoof anatomy, natural trimming techniques, and daily care strategies that support soundness, strength, and wellbeing.

Whether you’re just starting or deepening existing skills, our courses are hands-on, supportive, and practical.

Hands-On Workshops

A person with brown hair wearing a blue shirt and red gloves is hoof trimming a horse outside on grass, with a parked car and trees in the background.

Our workshops — run in collaboration with Wild About Hooves — are hosted onsite at Tranquil Island.

Over two full days, you'll gain practical trimming experience, anatomy knowledge, and insight into natural hoof care philosophies.

With small group sizes, personalised attention, and real-world case discussions, you’ll leave empowered to better care for your horse’s hooves — or even start your own hoof care journey.

Ongoing Support After Your Course

Learning doesn’t end when the workshop finishes.

One of Faith’s biggest goals is to create a community of supported, confident horse owners.

That’s why we offer Post-Workshop Participant Support Days — casual meetups where past students can bring their horses, their trimming tools, and their questions back to Tranquil Island.

Learn from each other, share experiences, and continue growing your skills in a nurturing environment.
